A$AP Rocky is bringing the Don’t Be Dumb World Tour to 3Arena on Wednesday 2 September 2026, and if you’ve got tickets – or you’re planning to get them – sorting your accommodation now is going to save you a lot of hassle closer to the date.
Why Accommodation for A$AP Rocky’s Dublin 2026 Concert Is Going to Sell Out Fast
3Arena holds 13,000 people. When a show that size sells out – and this one will – every single person in that building needs somewhere to sleep. That’s a lot of demand hitting a city at once.
The Docklands area around the venue doesn’t have enough hotels to absorb it, and the ones that are there know exactly what they’re doing with their pricing. A room that goes for €120 on a normal night can jump to €250 or more the moment a big show is confirmed. It happens every time.
Most people who’ve done a 3Arena concert before will tell you the same thing: don’t bother trying to stay nearby. Book something central, get the Luas over, and you’ll have a far better night for half the price.
Stay Central, Not in the Docklands
The Dawson Hostel is on Dawson Street, right in the middle of the city: a two minute walk from Grafton Street and close to St Stephen’s Green. It’s a genuinely great base for a concert night at 3Arena.
Staying central just makes more sense. You’re not paying Docklands prices, you’ve got Grafton Street and Temple Bar on your doorstep, and the Luas gets you to the door of 3Arena without the hassle of taxis or surge fares after the show. It’s the difference between a good night and a great one.
Getting from The Dawson Hostel to 3Arena
It’s easier than most people expect.
By Luas (Recommended)
Take the Luas Green Line from Dawson Stop, hop off at St Stephen’s Green, and transfer to the Red Line heading towards The Point. The Point stop drops you right outside 3Arena. Door to door, you’re looking at around 15-20 minutes.
By Taxi
About 10-15 minutes along the quays, depending on traffic.
On Foot
Around 30-40 minutes along the Liffey, not a bad way to get into the mood before a show.
After the concert, the Luas runs late and there’s a taxi rank outside the venue. Either way, you’re back in the city quickly, which is exactly where you want to be at that point in the night.

This One’s Worth Travelling For
Rocky’s live shows have a reputation for a reason. It’s not just the music: the production, the visuals, the atmosphere in the room: it all comes together in a way that a lot of artists just don’t manage. If you’ve seen him before, you already know. If you haven’t, a sold-out 3Arena show is a decent introduction.
The venue suits him well too. It’s big enough to feel like a proper event, but small enough that you’re never miles from the stage. The sound is excellent, and when the crowd is into it, which they will be, the energy is something else.
Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster Ireland. They won’t hang around.
Make a Night of It: What to Do Before the Show
Doors open at 6:30pm, which gives you a decent chunk of the afternoon and early evening to enjoy the city before heading over. The Dawson Hostel’s location makes this very easy.
Near the hostel, you’ll find:
- Kehoe’s on South Anne Street: one of the best traditional pubs in the city, always a good atmosphere
- The Stag’s Head on Dame Court: brilliant spot, popular with music crowds heading to gigs
- Bruxelles on Harry Street: reliably buzzing on concert nights, right around the corner from Grafton Street
- Grogans on South William Street: more low-key, good for a relaxed pint before things get loud
After the show, you’re back in the middle of everything, late bars, live music in Temple Bar, food if you need it. That’s the advantage of not staying out in the Docklands.

Why The Dawson Hostel Works for a 3Arena Concert Night
It’s central, it’s good value, and it doesn’t price-gouge on concert weekends. That already puts it ahead of most options near the venue.
Beyond that, the atmosphere on a big concert night is genuinely fun. There’s usually a mix of people heading to the same show, the staff know the city well, and you’re in a good spot to start and end the night properly.
